FST Since 1914

Sally Zhao is the Branch Manager of FST's Manhattan office, where she has managed a wide range of projects for many public agencies within the New York Metropolitan Area. A graduate of the Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art, she brings broad experience in civil engineering. Sally began her career working on highway and bridge projects and continues to concentrate in the transportation field, as well as expanding into the area of recreational facilities. She has proven herself to be particularly adept at managing on-call contracts for such agencies as the New York City Transit, Port Authority of NY & NJ, New York State DOT, and NYS Office of Parks Recreation and Historic Preservation, juggling diverse assignments ongoing at the same time.

Since joining FST, Sally has become an important member of the team dedicated to the growth of FST's operation in the New York Metropolitan Area. She likes the challenges and the opportunities of providing services to various public clients whose projects are important to the transportation infrastructures and recreational resources of New York and New Jersey.

Outside work, Sally likes to pursue her interest in fashion design and enjoys the rich arts scene and cultural resources that New York City provides. She has taken design classes at the New York Fashion Institute of Technology. According to Sally, "New York City is the right place to indulge one's interest in arts and fashion. There's so much creativity here."
