FST Honors 33 at Career Recognition Luncheon

June 26, 2014

At its annual career recognition luncheon on June 25, Fay, Spofford & Thorndike (FST) honored 33 individuals with service times ranging from five years with FST to 45 years with the firm.

Topping the list with 45 years of service each are William J. Carroll and Emile J. Hamwey. Others with 20 or more years of service (as of December 31, 2013) are Danny Lee (36 years), Bill Beyer (25), Paul Yannoni (21), Yelena Konstansky (21), Jamela Battle (20), Dave Glenn (20), Tracey Tufts (20) and Justin Gould (20). Each honoree was presented a token of appreciation from the firm in the lunchtime ceremony.

Senior Vice President and Director of Transportation Bill Reed, the event's emcee, noted that the extraordinary longevity of so many employees at FST is a testimony to the fact that the firm treats its people well, offers a challenging workplace and promotes diversity among its people and its projects. Bill understands longevity – he is a 38-year veteran of the firm.

FST has grown by nearly 30% in the past 18 months, closing acquisitions in Maine and Massachusetts. The firm is also opening strategically located offices to reduce employee commuting time and improve the staff's overall work-life balance.

FST now has 285 employees. Based in Burlington, Massachusetts, FST operates from nine offices throughout New England and New York.
