FST Names Bushey Head of South Portland Office

April 15, 2015

Steve Bushey, a 27-year engineering industry veteran, is the new head of Fay, Spofford & Thorndike’s office in South Portland, Maine.  He has been with FST (via DeLuca-Hoffman Associates, Inc., which FST acquired in 2013) for more than 20 years.

"Steve built his own philosophy and roster of satisfied clients within the foundation and principles that helped the firm thrive,” says Bill Moore, head of FST’s Northern New England Division. “Steve’s philosophy is simple. Be accessible and responsive to clients, be proactive in the design process and provide quality service on a daily basis.”

FST’s leadership believes that this philosophy captures the important qualities that the South Portland office has always exhibited and that it will continue to provide.  This commitment is strengthened and supported by the continued development of senior staff, including Joe Laverriere, Dwight Anderson and Andy Johnston.

In his career, Steve has worked on master planning, permitting and design projects for municipalities, medical facilities, educational institutions, and retail firms. His recent work has also included the civil engineering associated with siting and developing wind farms. Steve has a B.S. in Civil Engineering from the University of Maine and an M.B.A. from the University of New Hampshire.

Steve was also elected a vice president of the firm at FST’s annual shareholders meeting in March 2015. You can reach Steve at the South Portland office, 778 Main Street, Suite 8, South Portland, ME 04106 or by phone at (207)775-1121.
